Individual therapy
Our bodies hold our stories. They remember experiences, emotions, and patterns—sometimes long after our minds have moved on. Body-based psychotherapy (also known as somatic therapy) helps bridge the gap between mind and body, allowing you to process emotions in a way that feels safe and deeply healing.
Instead of just talking about feelings, we tune into how they appear in your body—through tension, movement, breath, and sensation. This approach can help you break free from stuck emotional patterns, regulate your nervous system, and develop a deeper sense of self-awareness and resilience.
Your body holds the answers you are seeking. With a blend of body-based practices and other trauma-informed modalities, we can work together and explore areas such as (but not limited to) anxiety and depression, perfectionism & people-pleasing, navigating major life transitions (pregnancy, motherhood, perimenopause etc.), body image & self-acceptance, grief and loss, balancing career and motherhood and rediscovering identity outside of Motherhood.
Virtual sessions are available to anyone residing in Ontario, British Columbia and Nova Scotia.
In-person sessions are available to those living in Durham region (my office is located in Downtown Whitby).
Couples therapy
Parenthood is all-consuming. As we attempt to juggle our careers, our children and the endless daily tasks, our relationship can often take a back seat, leaving us feeling more like co-parenting roommates than intimate partners.
Couples therapy infused with the Gottman Method offers parents a space to strengthen their relationship, improve communication, manage conflict effectively and navigate the challenges of parenting as a team.
During our sessions, we will explore the challenges that often go unspoken—mental load, default parenting, intimacy, and other dynamics of your relationship that are preventing you from feeling seen, understood and appreciated by one another. Couples therapy is not about blame - it is an opportunity to manage our triggers and show up for one another in a way that enhances our connection and our ability to work together.
