Everyone is going through something.

Some experiences are life-altering.

The kind that change how safe the world feels, how you understand your life, and how you begin to make sense of it.

Hello!

I’m so glad you’re here.

I'm Carrie-Lynn, a somatic psychotherapist and the heart behind Reacquainted Wellness. I support clients across Ontario and British Columbia.

My work is shaped by both clinical training and a lived understanding of how disorienting and life-altering medical trauma and crisis can be, especially when your nervous system is in ongoing survival mode with no clear resolution.

Maybe you’re holding it together for everyone else — silently carrying the quiet ache of pushing through. You fear that if you let yourself feel what’s beneath the surface, it might never stop.

I believe therapy should be a soft landing — a space where you’re met with curiosity, compassion, and safety.

We are not stepping outside of what you’re going through — we are working within it. This is not a space for silver linings, dismissive comments, or quick fixes. Together, we create space for you to feel more anchored in your body in small, safe ways — so you can keep going without feeling like you’re constantly on the edge of crashing.

If you’re looking for a space where you can feel supported, understood, and more anchored in yourself — I invite you to book a free 15-minute consultation today.

Nervous system therapy in Ontario and BC through somatic practice.

You might have heard the term “somatic therapy” and wondered what it actually means—or how it’s different from traditional talk therapy.

At its core, somatic therapy is about working with your body, not just your thoughts.

It can be especially helpful when your emotions are too overwhelming. It can also be a powerful way to explore emotions and sensations that are connected to painful experiences in a way that feels safe.

What Is Somatic Therapy?

You might be here because:

  • A recent medical crisis, loss, or unexpected experience has reshaped you — and you’re still trying to make sense of who you are within it.

  • You haven’t found many places where the depth of what this has been like for you is actually understood.

  • It’s become harder to relate to the people around you, or to show up in your relationships in the same way you used to — even with the people you care about most.

  • You keep going because you have to, but your body still feels like it’s in survival mode — and you need somewhere you don’t have to hold it all together.

  • You recognize your body is holding onto past experiences that continue to interfere with your day-to-day functioning

You don’t have to keep holding this all on your own.
